This song came to my mind instantly when I started putting this list together. I used to love the S Club 7 version as a kid, and it always reminded me of my childhood crushes and good times. At the time, Funicello was a member of Disney’s Mickey Mouse Club and wasn’t allowed to date before she turned 16, so at 17, they started dating, and everyone thought their relationship was so silly, and as much as they felt so strongly towards each other, people thought it’s only a matter of time till they grow up and go separate ways, which was what inspired him to write “Puppy Love.”
